Anna Ovsyanikova came across composer Mathieu Crickboom (1871–1947) while researching the dedicatees of Ysaÿe’s 6 violin solo sonatas. Having been in contact with libraries in Belgium and Netherlands, she has found rare and out of print scores by Mathieu Crickboom. None of Crickboom’s music was ever recorded – there were several public performances of his works during his time however not many artists include his compositions in their recitals currently. Anna started her PhD at the Royal College of Music on the legacy of Mathieu Crickboom in 2017. She is currently working on an online catalogue of all his compositions.
